Participant Recruitment: Study on Opioid Use and Suicide in AI/AN Communities

Kelley McCall, a Ph.D. candidate in Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis and a registered member of the Cherokee Nation, is conducting a dissertation study exploring the impact of medications for opioid use disorder on suicide among American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) individuals with lived opioid use experience. She is currently seeking participants to share their experiences.

Who is eligible? American Indian and Alaska Native individuals aged 18 and older with any experience related to opioid use (past, current, brief, or chronic) and/or suicidal thoughts or behaviors.

What does participation involve?

  • A brief online survey (approx. 10 minutes)

  • A 60–90-minute virtual interview
